S•CAB, a family story: from its origins to contemporary design
Seventy years of commitment and passion for the world of furniture. Now led by the third generation, S•CAB continues to assert with determination and optimism its belief in an inclusive, challenge-driven entrepreneurial culture. Deeply rooted in its origins, yet able to anticipate an evolving vision for the company’s future, its people, and its product range.
S•CAB’s design approach is most clearly expressed through its research into conviviality and sharing. Whether in public or private settings, or in outdoor spaces such as terraces and gardens, S•CAB products are designed to bring people together and create a sense of intimacy.
S•CAB’s design DNA: research and materials
Starting in the 1960s, S•CAB refined its production by focusing on seating. While the collections diversified to meet the needs of the residential and outdoor sectors, plastic processing, the new protagonist of furniture design, soon became the company’s core expertise. Over the years, the expansion of production facilities also enabled the processing of steel, wood, and textiles, meeting the growing demand for customization from the contract sector.

At every stage of production, quality is S•CAB’s guiding principle. Materials are selected to ensure strength and durability, while shells and frames are designed in compliance with European standards. CATAS certification confirms the reliability of both the raw materials and the finished product.
The design approach also prioritizes recyclability, with easily separable elements, disassemblable components, and plastics coded according to ISO 11469, supporting a more responsible and traceable product life cycle.
Indoor & outdoor solutions: the Made in Italy approach
Seating, tables, accessories, and all S•CAB furniture combine strength, practicality, and comfort, with materials and finishes designed to last over time. The design favors clean lines and functional details, allowing the products to blend naturally into different settings, from homes to hospitality, from offices to public spaces, while maintaining a coherent and recognizable identity.
Iconic collections of contemporary living
S•CAB’s most iconic collections express an essential, immediate Italian design built around the idea of conviviality. Chairs and tables become tools for experiencing space naturally, through light proportions, functional details, and materials designed to last across indoor and outdoor settings.

Koala collection
Design by Zaven
Koala is an indoor chair with a gentle, enveloping design, created to enhance ergonomics and deliver superior comfort. Its defining feature is the tubular metal ring that shapes the seat and supports the backrest, forming a continuous, harmonious, and recognizable line.
It is available in two versions: with an upholstered bucket seat, or with an upholstered tubular backrest.

Brezza collection
Design by Alessandro Stabile
A collection that redefines comfort through generous proportions, soft lines, and materials designed to stand the test of time. A warm, contemporary aesthetic that invites a natural, effortless way of living in space. Ideal for both contract and residential settings, Brezza adapts seamlessly to terraces, gardens, and workspaces, combining formal elegance with everyday functionality.

Malvasia collection
Design by Francesca Lanzavecchia
Malvasia reinterprets outdoor seating by combining comfort and balanced proportions in an essential yet distinctive design. Harmonious lines and refined details create a light presence that adapts naturally to different settings.

Lisa collection
Design by Marcello Ziliani
Lisa seating recalls the elegance of 1950s and 1960s interiors, reinterpreted with a contemporary sensibility. The slender tubular frame defines the profile and supports the backrest of armchairs, chairs, and stools, available with upholstered, woven, or wooden seats.

Contract projects: S•CAB around the world
S•CAB enters diverse contexts with an essential, durable design that integrates into spaces without imposing itself. In completed projects, materials, comfort, and functional details become part of the place’s experience, leaving a discreet yet recognizable mark.
